It's official! The BETTER project has finally taken off in Lisbon during a two-day kick-off were challenge owners (EU SatCen, World Food Programme and ETH Zurich) met technical members of the project consortium (DEIMOS Space UK, Fraunhofer IAIS, TerraDue, DEIMOS Engenharia Portugal) to discuss the project timeplan, plan the organization of the project and brainstorm on the first batch of big data challenges (12 in total) that will kick-start the first project phase (out of three).
Amongst other decisions, the next milestone will take place with the first BETTER workshop planned for April 2018, in Rome. |
